May 23--Nabi CEO and chairman David Gury hopes to start production of Autoplex T, an anti-inhibitor hemophilia treatment, here in Boca Raton in the next three or four years.
Nabi (NASDAQ: NABI) acquired the treatment from Baxter Healthcare Corporation after the Federal Trade Commission forced the company to sell the treatment in order to merge with another company, Gury said.
The Austrian-based pharmaceutical company Immuno had an anti-inhibitor on the market and the FTC forced the merging companies to sell one of the two similar products to prevent the elimination of competition, Gury said.
