ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 27, 1997--Solv-Ex Corp. (NASDAQ:SOLV) said it is perplexed by the timing and purpose of a report issued on May 22, 1997 by Dow Jones News Service and a related story appearing in today's Wall Street Journal.

Solv-Ex characterized the reports as little more than an outdated re-hash of events occurring in February which Dow Jones reported at the time in connection with a brief mention of Solv-Ex in the Feb. 17, 1997 issue of Barron's.
