Finding the Monk Within: Great Monastic Values for Today is an enjoyable and readable reflection on monasticism and the lives of some of its greatest proponents. Author Edward Sellner, professor of pastoral theology and spirituality at the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minn., uses the stories of these saints from late antiquity to the Middle Ages to bring different monastic values into focus.
