A Khayelitsha cyclist who landed a spot in an established European cycling team has come home to ride the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour - with his Danish team in tow.
Last year Luthando Kaka, 23, became the first black road cyclist from South Africa to ride for a European continental road cycling team.
He left for Denmark in June to ride for Glud and Marstrand Horsens (GMH).
But on Wednesday night, he arrived back in Cape Town with a group of five of his Danish teammates. They plan to ride the Giro del Capo, a five-day stage race which starts on Wednesday and ends on Sunday with the Cycle ...
