PARIS -- LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton reportedly has landed a prime piece of property on the Rue du Faubourg St. Honore.
The space was a Courreges store from 1969 until last January. A source close to LVMH said that although the space had been acquired, the group has not decided which of its luxury goods companies might occupy the space.
"It could be a John Galliano store, or it could be a Christian Dior men's wear shop. These are some of the options," the source told WWD Friday. Although the Dior apparel businesses are not part of LVMH, they are under Christian Dior SA, which owns 41.4 percent of LVMH. Bernard Arnault is chairman of both companies.
