China's iron ore stockpiles fall to 59.31 mln tons by February 27
Shanghai. February 27. INTERFAX-CHINA - Iron ore stockpiles at China's 22 major ports stood at 59.31 million tons on Friday, Feb. 27, down by 0.17 percent from Feb. 20, while Indian iron ore stockpiles increased by 4.34 percent to 15.39 million tons, according to figures released by Shanghai-based Mysteel.
Trading on the domestic iron ore market over the week remained at a low level due to falling domestic steel product prices. Domestic steelmakers are still adopting a wait-and-see attitude towards purchasing iron ore, while some steel plants in northern China scaled back production. The ...
