PRINCETON, N.J., June 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Bristol-Myers Squibb Company (NYSE: BMY) said today it has acquired worldwide development and marketing rights from Novartis Pharma AG for two protease inhibitor compounds under investigation for the treatment of HIV/AIDS.
Under the terms reached by the two companies, Bristol-Myers Squibb will initiate Phase II clinical trials for BMS-234475 (CGP-61755), a peptidomimetic HIV protease inhibitor. The compound belongs to the same class of anti-HIV
