INTENSIVE talks to avert strikes that could cripple the public transport system kick off at the Labour Relations Commission today.
The biggest union at CIE last night said it may suspend industrial action beyond this week if progress is made by Friday over plans to axe more than 600 jobs at Dublin Bus and Bus Eireann.
