NEW YORK, June 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Grupo Santander today announced that it had purchased an additional 3.5% of Banco Santander Chile. These shares were purchased from Infisa and former shareholders of Banco Osorno y la Union, which merged with Banco Santander Chile last year.

The additional stake was purchased for US$62 million, or US$15.5 per ADR share. This purchase brings Grupo Santander's holding in Banco Santander Chile to 78.15%. Banco ...
