SOUTHBRIDGE - To the dismay of the high school community, David E. Burris is leaving. Again.
The 2002 graduate was tutoring at his alma mater this year, but left Friday for the chance to resume his football career.
Mr. Burris said he will play linebacker and fullback for a professional team in the Austrian province of Corinthia.
The 24-year-old was a star running back and outside linebacker at the high school, and went on to have a standout career at defensive end for the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He graduated college last year.
