While only a few home network users have a fixed connection between consumer electronics (CE) and the network itself, those that do are more likely to have game consoles connected. But Blu-ray players are now expected to overtake consoles as the driving force behind connected CE growth.
The market research firm In-Stat's latest home networking report looked at the worldwide market and projected game consoles to continue their dominance for a few years, but Blu-ray players and Blu-ray recorders will take over the market as more connected CE devices enter the market.
