INTRODUCTION
Rosacea is one of the most common conditions diagnosed by dermatologists, affecting 13 to 14 million Americans each year. (1) Treatment can pose a difficult dilemma, as this condition is not yet curable and patients are subject to periodic flares. While tetracycline antibiotics are often utilized as long-term maintenance therapies due to inherent anti-inflammatory properties, their use may be associated with both adverse side effects and antimicrobial resistance.
