AutoZone Awards Five-Year Battery Supply Contract to Johnson Controls

MILWAUKEE, June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Johnson Controls, Inc. (NYSE: JCI) today announced it was awarded a five-year contract to supply automotive, lawn and garden, marine and heavy duty commercial batteries to auto parts retailer AutoZone (NYSE: AZO). Under the contract, Johnson Controls will be the sole supplier of AutoZone owned and licensed battery brands.

AutoZone is the nation's largest auto parts retailer in North America with over 1,500 retail outlets. It sells automotive batteries under the brand names Duralast(R) and Duralast Gold(R).
