ESCONDIDO, Calif.--Jun. 7--Step into the offices of Microtech and step back in time.
Lining the walls of the 12-year-old electronics repair shop are dozens of antique radios and TV sets dating back to the 1920s.
A 1925 wind-up Victrola scratches out an early recording of Puccini's "Madame Butterfly." In the next room, Artie Shaw's "Begin the Beguine" pours from a '40s-era, Chinese-style fold-out radio. And in the lobby, a rare 1959 Philco Predicta "barber pole" television flickers to life with images from 1950s TV commercials.
Every one of the radios and TVs in the shop has been lovingly restored to working order by Microtech owner ...
