In a move to speed up the market introduction of implants for the treatment of arthritis in small bones and joints, US company Small Bone Innovations Inc (Sbi) and Artimplant AB have agreed to consolidate five separate agreements into a single agreement.
This deal covers worldwide licensing, supply and distribution of the implants, made by Swedish company Artimplant and sold under the trademark Artelon.
Following the agreement, Sbi will no longer own exclusive rights to market and sell spacer products already cleared by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and certain other products not yet introduced in the US market.
