By K.M.A. Samdani February 24 (THE NATION): A year after I returned from the UK and joined the profession, i.e. in 1987, I was elected president of the Lahore High Court Bar Association with an overwhelming majority. This was one of those rare occasions when the president was not elected on the basis of biraderi or affiliation with a political party.
