Jun. 16--Alpha, the microprocessor made by Digital Equipment Corp., has gotten a lot of ink lately, thanks to a patent-infringement lawsuit Maynard-based Digital filed last month against rival Intel Corp.

Now, a new ad campaign that starts today looks to give Alpha even greater public exposure.

The "branding" campaign is aimed at the fast-growing number of "power users" who rely on their computers for applications such as 3-D animation, desktop publishing, and image processing, Digital said.

The campaign, which includes print ads, on-line advertising and a special Web site, is sponsored by Samsung Electronics and Mitsubishi ...
