Chilean water holding Aguas Nuevas, controlled by Santander Infrastructure Fund II (SIF II), posted a 2008 net profit of 16.7bn pesos (US$27.7mn), a 5.3% decrease from 17.7bn pesos in 2007, the holding reported to the country's securities regulator SVS. The holding's former owner, Chilean investment group Solari, agreed to sell 100% of Aguas Nuevas to SIF II in November last year. The sale process was completed in January, an Aguas Nuevas official told BNamericas.
