FAYETTEVILLE, NC SFC (Retired) Henry Dennis Klisiewicz, a native of East Douglas, MA, died Thursday February 12, 2009 at the Fayetteville Veteran's Hospital. SFC (Retired) Klisiewicz served in World War II and the Korean War. He was a medic with the 509th Parachute Infantry Battalion, made the jump into Southern France, and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. Henry was a recipient of the Silver Star, two Bronze Stars with Oak Leaf Clusters, two Purple Hearts, and numerous other awards and citations. He was named Honorary Command SGM of the 509th in 1988.
