NEW YORK -- Hoover hopes to take the market by storm with its new WindTunnel line of deluxe uprights unveiled last week and currently in production.
The four-SKU line, with retail sale prices ranging from $199 to $279, will be rolled out in July and August, and will be supported by Hoover's largest advertising campaign ever, according to president Brian Girdlestone.
Hoover, based in North Canton, Ohio, ended months of mystery with its launch of the 12-amp WindTunnel, which uses a new patented technology that lifts dirt particles into two long channels and carries them away from the spinning agitator. Hoover claims that the technology has superior cleaning ...
