MADISON, Wis., March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- May the best cheese win.
The United States Championship Cheese Contest, a biennial competition among America's cheesemakers and buttermakers, begins March 17 with a record number of entries from 32 states.
"Cheesemaking is experiencing a renaissance in the United States, spurred by a new generation of artisans and farmstead producers that have reawakened America's interest in great cheese," said John Umhoefer, executive director, Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association.
