Jack Taylor Le Beau formerly of Arlington Heights Jack Taylor Le Beau, 90, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2009, in Pasadena, Calif., of natural causes. Jack was born June 9, 1918, in Chicago, to Katherine Taylor and Ernest Wood Le Beau. He graduated from Austin High School in 1935, and became a star pitcher for many local baseball teams. His dream was to pitch for the Chicago Cubs. He started as an errand boy for the Besly-Welles Corporation in Chicago and advanced to vice president of the abrasives division. Jack met his wife the late, great Fern "Mackie" McCabe on a blind date at a Northwestern-Notre Dame football game, and they married two years later, on May 28, ...
