Women in the arts lecture
Danielle Steinmann, assistant curator of education at the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute, will present a lecture about the achievements of great women in the arts at 7 p.m. Wednesday, at the institute, 225 South St. in Williamstown, Mass.
The free talk, titled "Women at the Clark," focuses on painters who are part of The Clark's collection such as Mary Stevenson Cassatt, Berthe Morisot, and Marie Louise Elisabeth Vigee-Lebrun. The talk also will examine the life of Francine Clary Clark, cofounder of the institute, as well as preview a summer exhibition titled "Dove/O'Keeffe: Circles of Influence," featuring work by ...
