State Rep. John P. Fresolo hears one thing everywhere he goes - to the bank, grocery store, coffee shop - and he hears it from people he represents and those he doesn't: Do not fund largely Boston-based transportation improvements and debt from the pockets of Central Massachusetts residents.
Mr. Fresolo, a Democrat, said there is unanimous opposition in his district to Gov. Deval L. Patrick's proposed 19 cents per gallon gasoline tax increase that would boost the current state gas tax of 23.5 cents per gallon to 42.5 cents.
