Minnesota hockey history brings to mind images of old-time greats from northern Minnesota and dominant teams from the metro area. Which is why, of course, the major milestone of 600 career victories was reached recently by Lorne Grosso and Roy Nystrom -- two coaches respectively from ... Rochester Mayo and Albert Lea?
Did we mention that Grosso reached the mark while coaching against Nystrom? And that Nystrom won a rematch a few days later when both coaches had exactly 600 victories going into the game?
"What are the odds of that happening?" Grosso wondered.
