On the island of Oahu, softball is a favorite year round off-duty pastime. That being stated, at some point during one's tour in Hawaii, a service member will more than likely be extended the opportunity to compete on the highly competitive MWR softball diamond. Year in and year out, teams representing nearly every organization imaginable--from the Hospital Corps, to the Seabees, to the always-tough Chief Petty Officers squad--have engaged in highly spirited competition against one another in Spring and Fall MWR softball leagues at Naval Station Pearl Harbor's Millican Field.
