The IEEE has approved work to begin on five new standards for health informatics. The standards will be created within the context of the ISO/IEEE 11073 family of standards addressing the interoperability of medical devices.
The five new standards projects follow:
- IEEE P11073-10406, "Standard for Health Informatics--Personal Health Device Communication--Device Specialization--Basic Electrocardiograph (ECG) (1 to 3-lead ECG)"
- IEEE P11073-10418, "Standard for Health Informatics--Personal Health Device Communication--Device Specialization--International Normalized Ratio (INR) Monitor"
- IEEE P11073-10419, "Standard for Health ...
