Photoshop experts routinely conjure up amazing visual effects, but duplicating them isn't always easy. Two new collections of plug-in filters for Adobe Photoshop 3.0.4 and later, Alien Skin's Eye Candy 3.0 and Extensis's PhotoTools 1.1, make it easier to produce (and reproduce) eye-catching effects. Eye Candy offers a greater variety of effects (20 plug-ins to PhotoTools' 8) and a more straightforward approach, while PhotoTools feels more polished and offers a text plug-in that's a great improvement over Photoshop's built-in text support.
