Article: DuPont Merck, IRORI Quantum Microchemistry Agree to Jointly Develop New Drug Leads

WILMINGTON, Del., June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- The DuPont Merck Pharmaceutical Company and IRORI Quantum Microchemistry have entered into an alliance to construct chemical compound libraries to screen for development of potential drug compounds.

IRORI, located in La Jolla, CA, will use its Memory-based Directed Sorted(TM) methodologies to produce small-molecule libraries, based on DuPont Merck's selected pharmacophores, and drug leads which DuPont Merck will screen for activity.

Financial details of the agreement were not made public. DuPont Merck, headquartered in Wilmington, DE, will provide IRORI upfront and milestone payments as well as royalties ...
