It was while I was watching the "60 Minutes" interview with Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal that I had a flashback to one of my first experiences in Louisiana - an unforgettable moment.
In 1943, long before Bobby Jindal was born, I was going through primary flight training for the U.S. Navy at Natchitoches (pronounced "Nackatish"), a sleepy town in the middle of the cotton country.
