CORNED beef hash is one of those dishes that can be served at anytime of the day - breakfast, brunch, lunch or supper. It's not really a dinner party dish but is great with guests after the night before, with some iced cold Bloody Mary's. It has also become a trendy dish in smart gastro pubs, but be careful: there can be some awful versions.
I am not sure who buys tins of corned beef these days - I remember my mum making sandwiches with it, spread with Branston pickle to lift the flavours for school packed lunches. When I looked in the supermarket there seemed to be about four different brands so there must be a call for it.
