SORSOGON CITY, March 12 (PNA) -- A top local health official on Wednesday warned residents from a possible outbreak of sore eyes during the onset of the summer season.

Dr. Edgar Garcia, Sorsogon Provincial Health Office (PHO) chief, said the scorching heat of sunlight expected during the season would trigger sore eyes and other heat-related diseases and necessary precautionary measures must be adopted to avoid outbreak.

"The best way to avoid acquiring sore eyes virus is for everyone to keep their environment clean and maintain physical hygiene," Garcia said.
