INDIANA, Pa. _ No bells rang for Jimmy Stewart here Thursday.
But that didn't matter. People in his hometown said he earned his angel's wings long ago.
And not just because the world-famous actor who died Wednesday donated thousands of dollars for parks and charities here, or because his worldwide popularity gave the local tourism council something good to promote.
But because Stewart remembered people's names when he visited _ and seemed surprised that they remembered his.
Because when civic boosters showed him their plans for a grandiose Jimmy Stewart Museum, he insisted on a much more modest gallery.
