Four organizations--Lockheed Martin Corp., U.S. Army ARDEC, Ball Aerospace and COLSA Corp.--were the largest participants in NDIA's Configuration and Data Management Certification program for 2007. Employees completed the Technical Information Division Configuration and Data Management Certification and Apprentice program. Lockheed Martin and U.S. Army ARDEC both had 19 successful candidates, Ball Aerospace had 17, and COLSA had 15. In most cases these companies supported their staff by funding the training and examination fees.
To become certified, all candidates needed to meet preset requirements and have successfully completed a comprehensive examination.
