Article: Claremont eyes 100 Church for new school.(Claremont Preparatory School)

Claremont Preparatory School is contemplating a roughly 150,000 s/f lease at 100 Church Street for a new high school.

Claremont currently operates a private nursery, elementary and middle school at 41 Broad Street in Lower Manhattan with an enrollment of about 800 students.

According to its website, Claremont says it will offer ninth grade beginning in September 2009 at the Broad Street facility with plans to lease space nearby so that it can open the high school in September 2010. The new school will double Claremont's enrollment to 1,600 students, it says.
