WITH the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) facing pounds 69m of cutbacks, a meeting of its North Wales managers to discuss budgets may have seemed timely.
And holding it away from the busy main office may have seemed a sensible option. But the CPS last night came under fire when it was revealed it spent more than pounds 2,000 on booking pounds 200-a-head overnight rooms and conference facilities at the luxury Bodysgallen hotel - just an hour down the road from its Wrexham headquarters.
