For many teenagers, prom can be one of the most important nights of the year -- and one of the most expensive.
Prom dresses alone can cost anywhere from $200 to more than $400.
In today's economy, that's an especially steep price to pay.
That's where Our Secret Prom Dress comes in. The organization collects pre-worn gowns and gives them to teens who might otherwise not be able to shell out big bucks for a dress.
Melody Arnold, of Clay, started the dress drive three years ago. She knew there were prom dress charities in other areas, but couldn't find one in Syracuse.
