DALLAS, and SPRINGFIELD, Ill., July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Fresh America Corp. (Nasdaq: FRES) and Tom Lange Co. said today that, by mutual agreement, they have decided not to proceed with their recently announced proposed merger. The companies stated that, upon further examination of the transaction, they had decided to remain as independent companies. Fresh America Corp. and Tom Lange Co. initially announced a letter of intent to merge on July 1, 1997.
