DHAKA, March 19 Asia Pulse - The Bangladesh government on Wednesday officially announced a high-powered taskforce to monitor and face the challenges of global recession that has already started affecting the economy, especially remittance and exports.

Finance Minister AMA Muhith has been made convenor of the 27-member taskforce comprising four other ministers, representation from three political parties (including BNP), Prime Ministers adviser for Finance and Planning, Bangladesh Bank Governor and 12 private sector representatives (including economists and researchers).
