Altimo reduces stake in Turkcell

MOSCOW. March 18 (Interfax) - Altimo, which manages the telecommunications assets of Russia's Alfa-Group, has reduced its stake in Turkish cellular operator Turkcell to 4.9%, thereby fulfilling a ruling by a New York court, the company said in a statement.

Altimo sold a 62.2% stake in Alfa Telecom Turkey Ltd., via which Altimo owned a 13.2% stake in Turkcell, to Nadash International Holdings Inc., which is affiliated with Kazakhstan's Visor Group, and Henri Services Ltd., a company controlled by businessman Alexander Mamut. The deal carried a price tag of $90.2 million.
