Poland likely to send extra troops to Afghanistan at turn of April/May - Polish defense minister
WARSAW. MARCH 18. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - Poland is likely to send extra troops to Afghanistan at the turn of April and May, Polish Defense Minister Bogdan Klich told reporters Wednesday.
"The additional team of soldiers will support the fifth contingent at the turn of April and May," Klich said.
The Defense Minister responded to media reports that the government is planning to boost the Polish military contingent in Afghanistan by 400 soldiers to 2,000, of which 1,200 would be directly involved in military operations.
