TWO TURKISH Cypriots have applied to the European Court of Justice (ECJ) aiming to have next June's European Parliamentary elections cancelled if Turkish Cypriots are not allowed to vote in the north.
As things stand, Turkish Cypriots can for the first time vote in the June 6 election, but only if they register to cast their votes in the south. So far, virtually none of the approximately 80,000 Turkish Cypriots living in the north who carry Cyprus Republic citizenship have done so.
