Granholm to seek waiver on UI tax increase
Michigan employers have gotten a stay from one unemployment-tax increase, and Gov. Jennifer Granholm on Wednesday said she supports seeking a waiver on a federal unemployment-tax increase that will affect all Michigan employers next year.
That tax increase would repay principal on outstanding federal loans that Michigan has tapped to pay unemployment benefits.
