The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is all set to introduce a biometric system for provision of accommodation to ensure transparency.

In the first phase, the system aimed at preventing irregularities, will be implemented at Tirumala. Later, it will be implemented in Tirupati and other parts of the country.

At a recent meeting with officials, TTD Special Officer AV Dharma Reddy reviewed the proposal and the equipment needed for implementation of the biometric system.

The task of procuring computers, scanners, cameras and other equipment was entrusted to the EDP and the TTD Reception Department.
