Meigs County Commissioners opened bids for two projects funded through the Community Development Block Grant formula program at Thursday s regular meeting. Eagle Electrical Services of Plain City was the apparent low bidder for electrical upgrades to be completed at the Portland Community Center, with a bid of $6,500. A second bid of $8,850 was submitted by KAL Electric, Athens. Dil s Fire and Safety Equipment was the apparent low bidder for turnout and safety gear for members of the Scipio Township Volunteer Fire Department.
