The tower may yet triumph.
A legal dispute, which halted construction on the future LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton tower on East 57th Street, moved one small step closer to a resolution on Wednesday when a justice's order broke the deadlock between the two warring partners in the project -- at least for now.
New York State Supreme Court Justice Charles E. Ramos ordered Robert Siegel, the young real estate broker who owned the land at 17-21 East 57 Street, to sign a $19 million loan provided by LVMH to get the project started again.
