The USS George Washington (CVN 73) went live recently with the Navy Cash[R] system, thus becoming the 110th ship to receive this program and the seventh carrier to get it.
From vending machine purchases to Morale, Welfare and Recreation tickets, any purchase aboard ship will require a Navy Cash[R] Card. The card automates the financial process aboard the ship and frees up departments that handle money so they can assist crewmembers better.
The Navy Cash[R] Card does more than make purchases aboard the ship convenient. The card makes funds more secure because it requires a personal identification number (PIN).
