Calling the event an "exciting day in Supply Corps history," Rear Admiral Alan S. Thompson, Commander, Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP), and other distinguished guests, participated in an historic groundbreaking ceremony for the new Navy Supply Corps School (NSCS) at Naval Station Newport, R.I., recently.
