AVERY ISLAND, La., July 25 /PRNewswire/ -- McIlhenny Company has signed an agreement for Tabasco(R) brand Pepper Sauce to become the first "Official Marketing Partner" of the 50th Anniversary of NASCAR(R) in 1998, with an exclusive positioning for the condiment category. The agreement marks the first time McIlhenny Company has made a major commitment to a sports marketing property.
The announcement was made at the first-ever NASCAR Summit, a meeting of NASCAR's long-standing and new sponsors on July 24th and 25th in New York. The agreement between McIlhenny Company and NASCAR is an annual commitment for 1998 with a contingency for renewal in 1999.
