The pioneering video artist, filmmaker and sculptor Doris Chase has lived in New York since leaving Seattle in 1972, but her ties to the Pacific Northwest are strong. Known here for her large outdoor public works of steel and wood, Chase recently struck out in a new direction: blown glass. This show included 16 blown-glass sculptures of ovals, circles, arches and other curved geometric shapes, each paired with a pronglike steel support.
